Do we still need to think when a machine can do it faster for us?
As technology becomes part of who we’re becoming, humans fail to realise that their thought processes are subtly guided by automated systems such as artificial intelligence. “Conditioned Autonomy” is an experiment-based research designed to observe how cognitive agency and intention are negotiated between humans and AI.
The methodology uses a custom vibe-coded image generation tool that analyzes the degree of autonomy users have over the images they generate. Are we spending time to understand an unknown concept when we’re given the agency?

Part 1: Research done to build the tool + a documentation of the entire experiment
Part 2: A compilation of all 40+ users' experiments with the tool
Part 3: Data visualization for all the 40+ users’ experiments
